Job description
As an Associate Consultant at Aven Consulting Group, you will play a critical support role across client engagements, research initiatives, and internal strategy projects. This position is ideal for a skilled analyst with a strong foundation in business, finance, or consulting, who is ready to take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute meaningfully within a team environment.
You’ll be responsible for conducting targeted research, developing insights, and supporting senior consultants in delivering high-quality work to our clients. While the majority of work will be desk-based, you may engage directly with clients under the guidance of senior team members. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and growth-oriented—providing the opportunity to learn from experienced advisors while contributing to projects that create real impact.
- Produce accurate, timely, and well-structured deliverables in support of client engagements and internal projects
- Conduct business, market, and financial research to inform strategy and decision-making
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines, workflows, and communication are well-coordinated
- Contribute to proposal development, client presentations, and planning materials as assigned by senior consultants
- Participate in select client meetings and calls to observe and support business development activities
- Respond to client inquiries and information requests under the supervision of senior staff, escalating as needed
- Maintain organized documentation and assist with tracking deliverables and follow-up tasks
- Demonstrate initiative, critical thinking, and accountability in all assigned work
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field required
- 2–4 years of relevant business experience in consulting, financial services, or professional advisory settings preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply standard tools and frameworks to real-world business challenges
- Familiarity with core consulting concepts such as strategic planning, market research, and financial modeling
- Able to draw insights from cross-industry trends and apply relevant approaches to client-specific needs
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools; experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and professionally
